Okay, so I am an admittedly bad blogger. I think it's the combination of formatting pictures and then the subsequent witty/informative post about said pictures. So with that said, I am going to try a more quick and short-form posting mechanism.
So for the time being you will find me and my ramblings at: www.dfb-pines.tumblr.com.
See you on the flip side!

Greg & Keri's Wedding
We just got back from a fun-filled weekend in CA celebrating the wedding of my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law, Greg and Keri. It was a gorgeous wedding and the bride was absolutely beautiful. I count myself lucky for marrying into such a great family and now with Keri it gets even better. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Pines. We could not be any happier for you both. Now for some pictures from the celebrations...
My SIL and MIL

Jesus spit-shining his shoes... because why wouldn't he?

Repping the south... ATL and Nashvegas

David making good use of his groomsmen gift

Me, never able to turn down copious amounts of beer

The happy couple

My in-laws

The stunning bride

Beautiful day for a wedding

He said he got up there because he was nervous and it helped calm him... uh yeah. Regardless, it was a great speech.

Silly boys

I asked him to do something silly for the entrance and... well... this is what I got.

Rebecca and the faux-bouqet toss that never was.

Look at that former baseball player concentration.

Once in a blue moon I get a real smile and real picture out of him. This shall get framed!

The Pines girls... this was Keri's "don't close your eyes picture."

Seattle
I am a little late on this post but hey... better late than never. A few weeks ago, David and I were part of a master Doug Perry plan to surprise his wife and one of my closest friends, Andrea, for her 30th Birthday. Along with a few other of her close girlfriends, we all showed up in Seattle on Friday and declared their gorgeous new house Camp Perry for the weekend. So glad she was happy to see us despite having a sick child and having to run a hostel the weekend of her birthday :). It was a wonderful and much needed weekend of being with the girls and despite the Seattle climate... we did manage to try and get a little "Crazy in Abu Dhabi." hehe.
This is a shot of the infamous birthday cake. Lesson learned: Don't let wine-soaked girls bake a cake and then ice it hot. Best quote of the night: "Why is there a hole in the cake? And what's wrong with the icing?" -Ben Maslan.

Doug went all out when he surprised Andrea with a surprise birthday party Saturday with local friends and her parents. The party was catered by a local pizza company and it was absolutely delicious... Seriously, I still crave it.

CA friends in WA

This picture of Andrea's nephew makes me laugh. Why not eat pizza without your shirt on I say :).

Melanie boxing out Olivia... poor girl's motor functions are sub par and couldn't defend herself.

The new Perry fire pit David and I loved and repeatedly threatened to steal.

Love-love these girls.

Amy and the infamous cake. Probably should have taken a picture of the many empty wine bottles the next day to really prove a point.

Pike Place and the ginormous cookies (there are two more in the bag) that we immediately consumed.

Aero bed fun by the lil' miss

Fun halted by Asian stalking!

BUNNIES!!!
Look what David found in our front yard? Not even nestled against a fence or the house but smack in the middle of the yard. We don't know quite what to do. Of course we can't move them since it's a mom and her three little ones. But I don't want them to get hurt... guess it's out of my hands. Seriously, how cute are they?!?!
